Right now DR (The Danish Broadcasting Corporation) runs a theme about loneliness across most of its channels (TV, radio & web). So I thought this would be a good time to point to David Zahls awesome talk from Liberate 2014.
It’s one of the best expoundings of the whys of loneliness, I have heard so far. As always when we talk about humanity, it’s tragic and humorous at the same time. And the problem goes way deeper than we think.
“We are lonely because there is a shortage of love. We remain alone because there is a paucity of grace, and an overabundance of judgement. There is a whole lot of law, and not a lot of Gospel out there. Song writer Nick Lowe says: There is nowhere to run from what lack of love has done.”
